Introducing The Fresh Perspective Group
Hello! Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here and interested in learning more about us. In this blog post I’ll share a bit about our mission, introduce you to our all-star team, talk about the services we offer and share ways to connect with us. First, let’s take a step back. Honestly, this all started with an incredible stroke of luck. I won the lottery and life totally changed. This mind-blowing windfall gave me the unique opportunity to take a step back, reassess, recharge, and think about what excites me. From day one these were my personal guiding principles to help me navigate my new life: don’t squander this opportunity, live simply, be grateful, bring others along, and have fun. And, let me tell you, building this team and our vision for the company has been very, very fun.
The Fresh Perspective Group’s founding team shared a vision for this company: to be the absolute best place to work by putting people over profits. We come from a variety of backgrounds and geographic locations, but the common thread between us is our fierce commitment to supporting the nonprofit sector with technology. We made an awesome video that tells the story well.
Simplifying technology for nonprofits
Our goal is to simplify technology to make work better, offering a fresh perspective to solve complex issues facing nonprofits. We know this is critical because we have seen it firsthand, time and time again. Our team has decades of combined experience in the nonprofit sector and working for leading technology services firms that support nonprofit clients. In fact, much of our combined focus in recent years has been the implementation of Salesforce for nonprofits. We know that many nonprofit organizations struggle to use their technology systems effectively. This leads to staff burnout, difficulty in reporting impact, tension with boards and funders, and more. Nonprofits often lack the adequate budget to properly select, implement and manage their technology systems on a long-term basis, which adds to the challenge. These are the same challenges nonprofits have faced for years, and it’s time for a different approach. We feel that nonprofits need to have a fresh option when it comes to effectively adopting technology while continuing to adapt it based on their long term and strategic goals. We feel confident in our abilities. We’ve been there. We’ve done that. We can help.
Assembling the dream team
I felt inspired to build a company from the ground up with the best and brightest – and put people first. Each member of The Fresh Perspective Group has many years of experience in the space where technology and nonprofits intersect but more importantly they are REALLY GOOD at what they DO. And, luckily, when I asked, they all said yes! Now for some introductions:
Cassandra Grissom: Cassandra is our Vice President of Sales and comes to us with 15 years of experience in nonprofit technology from her roles at Convio, Blackbaud, and Salesforce.
Tommy Spann: Tommy’s role is Vice President of Technology & Solutions, and he’s well-positioned for success with his 23 years of expertise in nonprofit database technology.
Julie Loyd: Julie is our Vice President of Services, bringing 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Julie holds multiple Salesforce certifications and is passionate about reducing administrative time for nonprofits.
Mandy Kutscheid: Mandy brings a well-rounded skill set build over 15 years to her role of Vice President of People, with a background in talent acquisition, strategic planning, employee engagement, and fostering diversity.
Barbara Bends: Barbara is our Vice President of Finance and Legal, bringing 18 years of experience in helping nonprofits harness technology to amplify their impact.
Justin Green: Justin’s role is Director of Business Development. He has over a decade of experience in tech for good, with 8 years focused on the Salesforce for nonprofits ecosystem.
Mira Greene: Mira is our Director of Sales Engineering and she’s also a 7x certified Salesforce Administrator with over 5 years of nonprofit-focused Salesforce consulting experience.
Marthe Rana: Marthe’s role is Director of Marketing. She has over 10 years of experience, including 6 years of social impact marketing in the nonprofit tech sector.
Rozi Lopez: Rozi’s role is Director of Client Solutions, and she brings her expertise developed from over a decade of working in nonprofit technology from multiple perspectives and roles.
Courtney Good: Courtney is the Director of Client Experience. Her 15 year career has been dedicated to increasing nonprofit impact through effective systems.
Pamela Fitch: Pamela is in the role of Director of Philanthropy and Social Impact. She will be overseeing The Fresh Perspective Group’s grant program to fund future nonprofit client work.
Samantha Hanley: Sam is our on-staff counselor, bringing a rich background in both education and counseling with a master's degree in applied Behavior Analysis and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology.
Heather Ballachey: Heather is an independent marketing advisor for The Fresh Perspective Group and brings 16 years of experience in B2B marketing, with 7 of those years focused on the nonprofit technology ecosystem.
Me! Jen Cole: I’m the CEO and I bring over 20 years of experience building and mentoring high-performance sales and customer service teams, most recently at KELL Partners and Exponent Partners.
Our vision, to be the absolute best place to work, speaks to our company’s unique approach to putting people over profits. The Fresh Perspective Group will distribute profits between employees and a program to fund future nonprofit client work. This is something I feel strongly about as this company’s founding leader and speaks to The Fresh Perspective Group’s values of people, gratitude, simplicity, potential, and fun.
We have another fantastic video that introduces our all-star team. Watch it here–you won’t regret it!
Our approach to technology services for nonprofits
The Fresh Perspective Group’s team has a wide range of experience supporting clients with their strategic use of systems–across products and platforms. We understand both the challenge and incredible value of technology. For nonprofits, the investment of technology can be hard to fully realize. Know that you’re not alone. A typical pattern is that an organization identifies a need for a systems upgrade, working hard to secure the internal buy-in and budget. Unfortunately, many organizations find they still use old systems or band-aid solutions long after the new technology has been implemented. Our goal is to give nonprofit staff a path out of their systems-related frustration and into a world of doing their jobs with greater ease.
We offer managed services to make an immediate impact where it counts: for your staff and mission. We provide a team of experts that will operate as an extension of your staff and are invested in your success. From system maintenance to strategic planning, we ensure your technology meets your needs today and your goals for tomorrow. With our proactive, client centered approach, your technology needs are in capable hands, giving you the peace of mind to focus on your mission and drive greater impact. We encourage you to learn more about our offerings here or reach out to us to have a conversation.
