When Pamela Fitch joined The Fresh Perspective Group as our Director of Social Impact and Philanthropy, she brought a vibrant mix of experience, curiosity, and a New Yorker’s can-do attitude. Growing up in the dynamic environment of New York City, Pamela was exposed from a young age to a kaleidoscope of people, challenges, and opportunities. She saw firsthand how communities could unite to tackle problems that seemed insurmountable, transforming challenges into tangible solutions.
“I grew up surrounded by people solving hard problems, whether it was on the block, in the subway, or at the city’s nonprofit organizations,” Pamela recalls. “That perspective stuck with me—that even the toughest challenges can be tackled when people work together.”
Pamela’s career began far from the philanthropic world. She actually got her start in software development, where she built complex corporate financial systems. While she enjoyed that work, her heart always leaned toward giving back. In her spare time, she volunteered and wrote grants for nonprofits in New York and New Jersey, unknowingly laying the foundation for her transition to philanthropy.
That transition came with her first formal philanthropic role as a Program Officer for Community Development at the Prudential Foundation. It was there that Pamela discovered her passion for blending technology and philanthropy. She led the implementation of a foundation-wide grants management system, launching her on a career-long journey of helping foundations and nonprofits embrace technology to amplify their impact.
Over the years, Pamela worked with major organizations like Dell, Austin Social Venture Partners, and industry leaders like Blackbaud, Fluxx, and Salesforce, helping hundreds of nonprofits and foundations implement grants management solutions. “I’ve seen philanthropy from every angle—inside foundations, alongside nonprofits, and in partnership with tech providers,” she says. “And I’ve learned a lot from both the successes and the failures.”
Pamela’s expertise in both philanthropy and technology is now central to her work at TFPG. She’s committed to trying new things, embracing collaboration, and—when needed—failing fast to pivot toward better solutions.
At TFPG, Pamela’s vision for philanthropy is as bold as it is grounded. She wants to create spaces where nonprofits feel supported in their day-to-day work while also having the opportunity to explore transformative, cutting-edge ideas.
“We want to support both the grind and the growth,” she explains. “Whether it’s funding critical day-to-day operations or fostering the big, bold projects that drive systemic change, it all matters. And we’re here for all of it.”
Flexibility is a cornerstone of her approach. “Philanthropy isn’t static—it’s a living, breathing thing,” she says. “We need to be adaptable, to pivot when new opportunities arise, and to meet people where they are. It’s about being partners in their journey, not just funders.”
Pamela also sees TFPG’s work as inherently reciprocal. “Our clients are both receivers and givers,” she notes. “They benefit from our expertise, but they also power the work we do for others. That creates a cycle of impact where everyone contributes to a greater good.”
With Pamela leading TFPG’s social impact efforts, the future is bright—and dynamic. “The work isn’t new, but the people and the circumstances are,” she says. “That’s where the opportunity lies. We’re here to listen, learn, and adapt so we can create meaningful change together.”
Pamela’s ultimate goal is simple yet profound: to build a community where collaboration and shared success fuel lasting impact. Not only that, but the intention is also to share good news stories that uplift and inspire others. Under her leadership, The Fresh Perspective Group is poised to redefine what it means to put people over profits—and to have a little fun while doing it.
